Executive Chef/Owner Joseph David Mortelliti of “On The Way Café” in Rye, New York brings sophisticated yet simple breakfast and lunch offerings to Rye, New York. The newly renovated, quaint corner cafe is conveniently located right off of Playland Parkway leading to two of Rye’s main attractions, Oakland Beach and Rye Playland.

Chef Mortelliti trained at the institute of Culinary Education located in Manhattan. Upon graduation from ICE, Chef Mortelliti continued his training under Iron Chef America judge, Executive Chef and Culinary Instructor Alex Gaurnashelli at the well-known Manhattan hot spot Butter. Chef Mortelliti continued his training at fine establishments including Abigail Kirsch, Whippoorwill Club, Angelbrook Golf Club, Felida where he trained under 3 Star Michelin Executive Chef Foutunada Nicotra and at Aurora located in Rye, New York where he was the Chef De Cuisine.
